“Very beautiful beach with turquoise waters. A bit disappointed because it seemed like the Secrets resort had taken over the beach. There are free loungers and umbrellas, food and drinks, but they were for people staying at the all-inclusive hotel. Overall, a nice beach.”

"This beach is the classic image of Cancun. The water's different shades of blue is quite seductive, and you can often see rainbows when favorable weather is favorable. Note: If you are not a good swimmer, enjoying the beach is better since the currents and waves here can be treacherous. Not a place for swimming."

5. Forum/Gaviota Azul Beach

  • Kilometer: 9.5, Hotel Zone, Cancun

  • Positioning: Caribbean side of Cancun

"This is the beach for tourists coming to Cancun. The sand is nice, and there are beautiful clouds and lots of people. It stretches from the bar area in the north through the isthmus. In the bar area, there are plenty of bars pumping music on the beach. It can get crowded."

"We took the bus from the hotel zone to this beach in the morning. We wanted to see what the ocean was like on the north side. Calm, beautiful turquoise water, a new playground for kids and entertainment area, clean bathrooms, and a sign with the letters of Cancun for taking photos. The ferry dock to Isla Mujeres is here. A fun and low-cost excursion."

7. Pearl Beach

"It's not the most sophisticated beach in Cancun, but we love it because it's a perfect place to relax, not crowded, and has all the facilities, showers, bathrooms, and small palapas everywhere. Highly recommended."

"Even if you haven't booked an excursion departing from Linda Beach, go visit it. Rent a jet ski, watch the boats, have a cold drink at the nearby bar, even smoke a Cuban cigar. If you have young children, the beach on the Gulf side is very calm, no waves, and you can see some fish passing by."

9. Marlin Beach

"One of my favorites in Cancun 😉 here (unlike Playa Tortugas and Langosta) you can feel and see the real Caribbean waters. This part of the coast 'faces' directly to the ocean, so the water is bluer and cleaner, but WITH WAVES... Therefore, if you are with kids – not the best choice. The rest is nice. You can jump in the waves 😉 the entrance is free. There are lifeguards, a bathroom, and showers (both closed around 6 pm). Right in front of the beach – bus and taxi stops. Also, on the other side of the road, you can find a good restaurant 'El Pescado' 😉 At first, you may think it's something local 'not really nice,' but you have to go down and find a very cozy place."
